Bella's Hope Ride
Bella's Hope Ride provides free transportation for families of children in the community who are stricken with cancer so that they may travel to their appointments at the specialized centers equipped to care for the children.

Our mission is to ensure no child misses lifesaving treatments because of lack of transportation.

Why We Do It
There are a significant number of patients in Laredo, Texas and the surrounding areas affected by pediatric cancer, and the numbers are increasing exponentially. Unfortunately, health care facilities in Laredo, Texas are not properly equipped, prepared, or trained to treat pediatric cancer patients. Patients and their parents must often travel more than 150 miles to their treating facilities for cancer treatment.

Sadly, there are no specialized treatment facilities in Laredo TX equipped to treat pediatric cancer and families must often travel out of town for life saving treatment.
Out of town Appointments
Some families have out of town appointments for cancer treatments like chemotherapy & blood transfusions once a week.
Travel
Distance
Laredo families must often travel to larger cities like San Antonio, Corpus Christi & Houston to receive there cancer treatments. The average distance traveled is 540 miles round trip.
